Soft Molasses Cookies Myrtle Rivers Tisdel 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 egg beaten 1/2 c. molasses 1/2 c. boiling water 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt Cream shortening, brown sugar and egg. Sift together flour, soda, ginger, salt and cinnamon. To the egg sugar mixture add liquid and dry ingredients alternatively. Beat, drop by Tbsp. onto buttered cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes om 350 oven.
