Lemon Bread Cynthia Nourse Adamowitch 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2. c. milk 2 eggs 1 1/2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. lemon rind 1 tsp. lemon juice Bake at 350 for 1 hour. While bread is still in pan, sprinkle powdered sugar and squeeze lemon juice on top. Makes 2 loaves.
